What are whitelisted streamers?
YouTube has become stricter and will continue to get stricter with using copyright footage. To ensure we receive little to no DMCA takedowns, we’re implementing a whitelist of streamers. Of course the vast majority of giant streamers will not be needed as they of the time will never DMCA take down compilations. Giant streamers defined as 1000+ average viewership. The whitelist is to future proof the youtube channel’s success. This does not mean an absolute blanket on all content on your streaming channel. If you see something you don’t like being used let me know I’ll edit it out of a video. I do not ever intend to upload a full VOD either. I use clips for clip compilations, weekly recaps, spotlights, informational and educational videos.

What are greylisted streamers?
When I have attempted to contact a streamer but the streamer has not responded to get permission or are undecided to showcase them as a whitelisted streamer. I label them as greylisted for this reason. I do try very hard to contact everyone, but sometimes I am testing to see some streamers how would the exposure reflect their usual numbers. Sometimes I also have “guests” which are not eligible to being a full time outdoor IRL streamer but are doing compelling outdoor IRL live content.

What if a streamer is not whitelisted?
Any streamers not on the whitelist with exception with giant streamers I can’t get in contact with, will be featured into its own compilations eventually varying the quality of the clips. Basically whitelisted streamers will be featured more on the youtube channel and on the network in general, so they’re considered a preferred list to ensure we reduce any DMCA takedowns as humanly possible. This also includes the website OutdoorIRL.com showcasing outdoor IRL streamers. Non-whitelisted streamers will be listed in plain text, while whitelisted have their live streams embedded and profile pic shown.

What does a whitelisting allow you (Outdoor IRL Network) to do?
A universal allowance to use footage from your twitch/youtube/mixer live stream on our youtube that is submitted by viewers or myself clipped. If you want to remove a specific clip, before its uploaded into a compilation, you may request to remove the submitted clip. For example, if you see a clip in any submission channels, on our discord, you don’t like that is from your channel you can request a server staff member to delete it. If you see it after the fact and on a YouTube video I can also remove that clip from that video too (if its recently posted). Please also contact me directly via DM to ensure its not already added to a compilation video in progress.

Do you have a blacklist? If so, what will happen?
Yes. Since we have a whitelist, we have a blacklist. This is nothing extremely bad. I will not simply feature that streamer’s channel in any videos (except if they had prior agreement of being whitelisted). I will not put this publicly to shame anyone. Usually the streamers that are blacklisted have DMCA’ed the YouTube channel without contacting me (iamMisterIRL). Other streamers could be on the blacklist purely because it is requested by them to be on the list.

You can reverse a blacklisting varying on how you got on the list too. If you requested to be on the list, you can simply request to be taken off the blacklist. If you’re put on the blacklist because of DMCA onto a video, you can still be taken off the blacklist if you speak to me on a voice or video chat and discuss the situation, this would be case by case basis.

What is required to qualify to get whitelisted?
You will need to be an outdoor IRL streamer. What classifies being an outdoor IRL streamer is the majority of your content in the last 2 weeks must be outdoor IRL content. *Majority content defined as of your content on your streaming channel for whitelisted, for greylisted. You must have streamed at least 2-5 times in a 3 week period. If already whitelisted and you’re not longer classified as an outdoor IRL streamer, you will still be whitelisted until you decide to stop being whitelisted.

What is outdoor IRL live streaming content?
Any content being live streamed outside of your home, and property with exceptions if you’re on a large land for your property. Yes, being indoors at a restaurant or other venue is outdoor IRL. This may include hotel rooms, or other private spaces too that could give the same safety of “home”.

Will you be monetizing the content you’re using from my Twitch channel?
Right now we do not have any monetization, and future monetization made will be used to help grow the network. The more funding we have available the more we can do to grow the network. We have a Youtube channel now and will become monetized to generate ad revenue from the videos. Our goals are (that I can mention) to do special event streams with streamers to help promote them and the overall network. Working with corporate sponsors and connecting them to streamers in the network, and competitive league that involve challenges between streamers with other streamers and viewers.

Why do you (iamMisterIRL) hide your identity?
I hide it for many reasons. Sadly with the state of IRL has been and may continue to be is doxxing and swats, more especially for people living in the US. I am a business owner that has my face on the website and can very easily reveal who I am and where I live since I do not have an office outside of my home. I understand this will only come true for extreme cases and if the community has this or if I connect with communities that has these security issues. Chances are very low, especially right now, of this coming true.

My concerns are with future legitimate business investors. If I were to reveal who I am right now, it is permanent and there is no going back. I know how trolls work, and in cases I’ve seen trolls dox business investors intentionally to ruin a business deal from staying intact. The business investors are as important as the live streamers supporting this network because this network’s goal is to attract mainstream audiences, and not just Twitch or live streaming community in general. I also intend to have a bounty system for the network, and I cannot do this without investors, corporate partners, and sponsors. So in that explained, I need to take every precaution I can to ensure the network and everyone supporting the network understands my intention is not to lie and hide from you all, but it is to protect the future’s growth because I strongly believe this network can get very big if we all work together.

If this is a deal breaker, please contact me and we can discuss further. I am transparent as long as the future of the network isn’t in harms way.

HOW TO GET WHITELISTED

How do I get whitelisted?
It is simple. DM me on discord you’re interested in being whitelisted, and I’ll check when you’re live and ask you to give permission while live streaming. I will clip this and store it to seal the deal. That’s it!

Can I change my mind or revoke whitelisting?
Yes, you may anytime revoke whitelisting BUT to the content and clips prior to the revoked whitelisting still will be used. You will not be blacklisted, unless you want to be on the blacklist of streamers.

I can’t see my channel on the website after being whitelisted, why is this?
We try to keep the network’s listings of channels active and showcasing outdoor IRL content channels for upkeep of quality standards for viewers on the website to see. Any channels that are not doing this is to apply the rule of thumb. Which is if the channel has not gone live in 1 month the channel will be deleted from the network. Once it comes back online, and it is Outdoor IRL content, the channel will be re-added. Please keep this in mind if you don’t see your channel re-appearing THIS IS A MANUAL PROCESS. If you want to be re-added as quickly as possible please DM me on twitter or discord.

Am I required to do anything else as whitelisted streamer?
No. But it is highly encouraged to be apart of the discord community, and activity participate. This is a network of the Outdoor IRL community. We are working together to help not just grow the content creators / streamers but as well the viewership. That does require a lot of collaborating and helping each other out when possible. If you like to support us further please check out a discord channel on our discord “support us”. If you’re reading this from a non-discord invite to join the whitelisted streamers, and If you’re unfamiliar with discord and willing to learn it please don’t hesitate to contact me. I don’t mind helping.
